Dr. Irfan Ahmed Rind

Dr.  Irfan Ahmed Rind is working as Head of Education Department at Sukkur IBA, he was appointed as Assistant Professor in 2013. He is also working as Associate for the Center of International Education (CIE), University of Sussex, UK. Before Joining Sukkur IBA, Dr. Irfan worked for UNESCO as consultant, University of Sussex as International Student Ambassador, and University of Sindh as research associate. He completed his PhD in Education and MA in Applied Linguistics from University of Sussex, UK. He secured first position in B.A and M.A English Literature from University of Sindh and was awarded with gold medals. His teaching and research interests include methods & philosophy of research, theories in education research, development & education (MDGs and EFA), education for sustainable development , gender & leadership, gender sensitization in curriculum, monitoring & evaluation, assessment, education policy analysis & strategic planning, leadership & change management, teacher education & training, curriculum development , career counseling, IELTS & TOFEL. Dr. Irfan is involved in number of research projects and managed to publish 4 research papers in international impact factor journals and a book chapter which is to be published in Fall 2016. Five papers are under review by different international peer reviewed journals and nine papers are under construction. He also reviews books, and recently reviewed ‘Applying Theory to Educational Research: An Introductory Approach with Case Studies’ published by Routledge. The review was peer reviewed and published in Taylor & Frances managed journal. In addition, he also managed five research groups at Sukkur IBA. These groups are working on different research projects and it is expected that each group is going to publish a paper in the end of this year. Moreover, Dr. Irfan successfully executed different projects sponsored by British Council, USAID, Land O’Lakes, RSU, CIDA, and HEC. He has been the Lead Master Trainer in various Executive Training programs at Sukkur IBA.
